Human Resource Management (HRM)
The Human Resource Management section is responsible for the effective management and development of the Institute’s human capital. The unit supports organizational performance through strategic HR practices and compliance with relevant legislation.

- Recruitment, selection, and onboarding
- Performance management coordination
- Training and development
- Employee wellness programmes
- Labour relations and disciplinary processes
- HR compliance and records management
Corporate Services Unit
Corporate Services provides essential administrative and operational support to the Institute, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of all institutional activities. Under the leadership of the Manager: Human Resource and Corporate Support, the unit plays a strategic role in aligning people, infrastructure, and support services with the Institute’s broader mission.
The unit is responsible for Human Resource Management and Facilities Management, and Infrastructure Development, working collectively to create a productive working environment for staff and a conducive environment for teaching, learning, and institutional excellence
Infrastructure Development
The Infrastructure Development component is responsible for the maintenance, improvement, and sustainability of the Institute’s physical infrastructure. The section ensures that facilities remain safe, functional, and supportive of both academic and operational needs.
Core Areas of Responsibility:
- Infrastructure development projects and upgrades
- Building maintenance and repairs
- Electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry services
- Fleet management and transport coordination
- Water treatment and wastewater management
- Cleaning and hygiene services
- Grounds and environmental maintenance
Key Functional Units
Workshop & Technical Services
The workshop serves as the operational hub for technical services, housing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry teams. It supports both maintenance operations and student practical training.
Fleet Management
Responsible for the management, maintenance, and allocation of institutional vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety, insurance, and operational policies.
Electrical Services
Provides maintenance and preventative measures for all electrical infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Mechanical Services
Responsible for maintenance and repair of vehicles, machinery, tractors, and backup generators.
Plumbing & Water Services
Manages plumbing systems, water treatment plant operations, reservoirs, and wastewater systems, ensuring consistent water supply and quality.
Carpentry & Building Maintenance
Handles repairs, maintenance, and infrastructure upkeep of all institutional buildings, including student residences.
Grounds Services
Ensure that gardens, sports fields, and outdoor areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Cleaning Services
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness across offices, residences, and facilities, including laundry services and hygiene standards.
